The aim of this study is to determine the demographic variables of patients going for repeat surgery for recurrent uterine fibroid, intra-operative findings and difficulties, type of surgery performed and complications encountered. Method: A descriptive analysis of patients who had undergone repeat surgery on account of recurrence of uterine fibroid between July 1995 and June 2005 Results: The mean age of 39 patients that had surgery for recurrent uterine fibroid was 39.4 years with range of 23 to years. Of the 39 patients, 20 51.3% ; were married, 13 33.3% ; were single and the remaining 6 15.4% ; were either separated divorced or widows. Frequency of previous myomectomy in the patients were once in 33 84.6% ; patients, twice in 5 12.8% ; patients and thrice in 1 2.6% ; patients.
